Goodie bags for north-east air crews who will be deployed overseas over Christmas have been sent around the world.
About 100 personnel from RAF Lossiemouth will spend the festive season away from home in the Falkland Islands, Cyprus, the Middle East, Brunei and Nigeria.
Two packages have also been sent to military dog handlers with special treats for animals serving the country in their care.
Jennese Bailie, the base’s welfare clerk, coordinated the packages, which were funded by the Clifton Heights Welfare Facility.
She said: “Being away from your family at any time can be tough, and service personnel recognise this is a part of their job, but hopefully these Christmas packages will remind them that we are thinking of them.”
