A new bench was unveiled in a Moray town to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
It has been installed on the esplanade opposite the East Beach in Lossiemouth, following a public vote to decide where it should be placed.
A dedication ceremony was held on Sunday in the coastal town. Lossiemouth Community Council wanted to create a permanent tribute to mark the 100 year commemoration of the end of World War One.
The bench was completely funded by the community, through a concert and from contributions from organisations and individuals in the town.
Reverend Geoff McKee made a speech and led attendees in prayer before young Lossiemouth piper Ronan Ruck played.
Moray MP Douglas Ross attended the ceremony and expressed gratitude to the community.
He said: “It was a pleasure to join local residents in Lossiemouth this afternoon for the dedication service of the commemorative bench which is situated on the esplanade.
“Congratulations to the Community Council for organising this.”
