A Moray family has donated £5,000 to a hospital in memory of an ambulance technician who died earlier this year.
Jackie Hall, a team leader at the Elgin Ambulance Station, raised the money in memory of her dad Jimmy.
Fundraisers took part in a 100-mile cycle event in Fife to support the cardiothoracic department at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where Mr Hall spent time before he died.
Ms Hall said: “My dad was well known and well loved by everyone. During his time in Edinburgh Royal, he could not praise the staff enough. He wrote everything and everyone’s name down so he could thank them when he got home.
“Unfortunately he didn’t make it but I am sure he would want the money to go for the benefit of the staff and patients where he spent his last days.
“No words can describe how fabulous all the staff were so hopefully this money will go somewhere to showing how truly grateful all his family and friends are.”
Mr Hall worked at Cupar Ambulance Station in Fife for 30 years.
