Emergency services called to Moray river to tackle ongoing incident

Emergency services are attending an ongoing incident near to the River Spey, just off the A96 near Fochabers.

A coastguard helicopter, police, ambulances and fire units are all currently in attendance at an unknown incident.

The junction towards Fochabers was blocked off to allow a search to be carried out at the scene.

An Scottish Ambulance spokesman said: “The incident at River Spey is still ongoing at moment so all I can say is that we are in attendance.”
