Photographed by JASPERIMAGE © A woman had to be taken to Doctor Gray’s Hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash on a road in the centre of Elgin. Emergency services were called to Station Road shortly before 7pm after reports there had been a collision. Upon their arrival they discovered a Honda CRV and a Suzuki SX4 had collided outside the Laichmoray Hotel. The fire service then used cutting gear to release a woman from her car. She was looked over by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Doctor Gray’s. It is understood that her injuries are not serious. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 6.47pm. “We had two units in attendance from Elgin. “We released someone from their vehicle, it was a female casualty. “She was checked over at the scene and dispatched to Doctor Gray’s. “We left at 7.40pm.” Police remained on the scene after to carry out investigations. A police spokesman said: “We were informed by he fire service at 6.51pm to an incident on Station Road. “We are still in attendance. “The last update said there was one female injured. “There has been no update on her condition.”
