A Moray man who was jailed after downloading nearly 2,000 child porn images pled guilty to breaching his bail conditions while waiting to be sentenced.
Christopher Blakesly, 27, was banned from owning or possessing any device that can access the internet without informing the police in the area, while he was on bail and awaiting to be sentenced earlier this year.
However, on a routine visit to Meadow Crescent in Elgin on May 4, 2018, officers found Blakesly to be in possession of a Samsung tablet and watch, items he had not obtained permission to use.
Blakesly was jailed for nine months in June 2018 after pleading guilty to downloading nearly 2,000 pictures and videos of naked children.
The 27-year-old was arrested for the crime in the summer 2017 and was granted bail on July 5 where he was subjected to special conditions.

These included being prohibited from owning or possessing a mobile phone or computer- desktop, laptop or otherwise- without advising the police in the area where he lived of the serial number of that device.
He was also banned from possessing any other device capable of allowing him personal access to the internet without express written approval of the police.
However, he breached those conditions after being found with the tablet and watch and had no reasonable excuse as to why he had them.
Sheriff Chris Dickson adjourned the case to allow for a criminal justice social work report.
Blakesly, of Banff Road, Keith, had previously pleaded guilty to a single charge of possessing indecent or pseudo photographs of children between June 17 and July 4 in 2017.
When arrested, detectives found 1,651 images and 67 videos stored on the 26-year-old’s phone.
Of the files recovered, specialist officers considered 150 or 7.4% to be category A offences, which are the most serious.
A further 407 were category B, while the remaining 1,161 were category C.
