Police searching for a missing pensioner have recovered a body from the River Isla.
Phyllis Milne disappeared from the Quarryhill area of Keith over the weekend, after speaking to a relative late on Friday night.
A massive search was carried out over the weekend, with police, fire and coastguard teams scouring the land and waterways around the River Isla.
Yesterday, officers confirmed they had found a body in the water.
It has not been formally identified, but Ms Milne’s family have been informed.
Ms Milne was last in touch with a relative at 10pm on Friday.
Police, coastguard, fire and ambulance teams have all been involved in the hunt, which focused on the River Isla north of the town towards the River Deveron.
Over the weekend, the police could be seen combing the banks of the River Isla with specialist tools, searching for any clues which could help to locate Ms Milne.
Coastguard teams also searched the difficult rural terrain and continued through very poor weather conditions.
