An award-winning pianist and composer is travelling to Moray this summer to fulfil a demand for more jazz.
Audiences have packed performances of Let it Snow in Elgin during the festive season for the last four years.
Now organisers Forte Productions, which was formed by Ryan MacKenzie from Buckie to help bring talent to Moray regularly, has scheduled another jazz night to kick-start its 2019 programme.
Euan Stevenson will perform at the Mansfield Hotel on Thursday, July 18 after previously playing across the UK and internationally, including at the London Jazz Festival and at Celtic Connections in Glasgow.
Mr MacKenzie, Forte Productions’s artistic director, said: “Moray told us they wanted more jazz. They loved Let it Snow last year, so we are bringing them the best jazz the UK has to offer.
“Euan is one of my favourite musicians and I’m delighted he’s coming up to Elgin.
“This special one-off event will give you the chance to get up close to one of the UK’s leading jazz performers.”
Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday online at www.forteproductions.co.uk or in person at Cathedral Windows on Elgin High Street.
The performance will begin at 7.30pm on July 18.
