Motorists are being warned to expect further disruption after heavy rain resulted in the roadworks on the A95 Boat of Garten to Craigellachie road being prolonged.
A £530,000 improvement project was due to be completed today at four locations will be extended by one week.
Bear Scotland has said that the recent heavy rain has caused the delay.
The works will now continue each night from Monday, and are programmed to finish by 6am next Saturday – subject to weather conditions.
A Bear Scotland spokesman said: “Please be advised that heavy rain has meant the ongoing £530,000 overnight road improvements on the A95 for four locations in Maggieknockater, have been extended by one week.
“The project has made good progress with almost all resurfacing works completed at Easter Gauldwell and Wood of Gauldwell. Bridge repairs at Fiddich Bridge and Balnellan Bridge will continue next week.
“No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday nights.”
Traffic management will remain in place whilst the works are carried out.
