A group of Moray fundraisers has been overwhelmed after receiving a significant anonymous donation.
Elgin-based Pets at Home is raising cash to support the adoption of animals as well as Saints Sled Dog Rescue, which has a base in Hopeman and helps rehome huskies.
The store has now raised about £3,000 but received a massive boost this week following the surprise donation of £680.
Staff reviewed CCTV after the find and saw footage of a person putting wads of notes into the donation box.
Assistant manager Jen Lathrope said: “We couldn’t quite believe it when we found the money. It’s an amazing help for what we are trying to do.”
