A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was travelling in crashed and landed on its roof.
Emergency services were contacted just after half 7 and made their way to the scene near Buchromb Way on the A941 Craigellachie to Dufftown road.
Local diversions were put in place and motorists were advised to take alternative routes after the incident, involving a blue Ford Focus, blocked the road.
Two fire appliances from Dufftown and Aberlour attended along with two ambulances and police.
Crews had to use “small tools and cutting gear” to release the woman from the vehicle.
An ambulance spokeswoman said:“We received a call at 0719 hours on Tuesday, June 25 to attend a road traffic collision on the A941 near Buchromb Wood. Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one female patient in their 50s was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for further assessment.”
