Comic book and science fiction heroes and villains invaded Moray College UHI at the weekend.
Characters including Spiderman, storm troopers from Star Wars and home-made creations packed the second El-Con event on Saturday, which raised money for Logan’s Fund.
Enthusiasts from across the north-east descended on Elgin for the afternoon for a programme of workshops including light sabre training and tutorials about how to make costumes to assume the role of their own favourite.
Elgin Academy students also brought a Batman-themed escape room challenge to test problem solving skills against the clock.
Andy Mackenzie, who headed the team that organised the event, said: “It was smaller than last year but a lot of people said they didn’t think it made a difference.
“We invited people from events in Inverness and Inverurie but the main thing for us was to put something on for the people of Moray and develop a following for it.”
