Six fire engines are currently working to extinguish the house fire in Elgin.
UPDATE 6.30pm: The blaze has now been extinguished and fire crews have left the scene of the house fire on Mitchell Cresent.
Police remain in the area as a precaution.
Services from Elgin, Lossiemouth, Forres, Rothes and Fochabers are using hose reel pumps to douse the flames from a house on Mitchell Cresent in Bishopmill area of the town.
An aerial appliance from Inverness is also in use.
A spokeswoman said: “We received the call at 1.12pm today of a dwelling on fire at Mitchell Cresent.
“Operations Control mobilised a total of six fire appliances and firefighters are currently working to extinguish the flames.
“Crews will remain in attendance until the area is made safe.”
Ambulance crews are also on site however there are no reported casualties at this time.
