Police have launched an appeal after a serious assault in a Moray town last month.
At around 2.30am on June 30, a 45-year-old man suffered facial injuries after he was assaulted in the area of Burngreen Lane in Forres.
PC Donald Matheson said: “I’m looking to speak to anyone who might have seen or heard anything unusual in the area of Leask Road, Gordon Street and Burngreen Lane areas in the early hours that day.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to a group of four young men who were in the area at the time of the assault and may have information that could assist us.
“Violence is not acceptable and I’ll be looking to utilise all available means in order to identify those responsible.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
