A popular tradition will return to a Speyside highland games next month.
For years, competitors used to participate in a series of challenges before the Aberlour event as part of an It’s a Knock Out challenge.
However, the popular event fell away several years ago, but has now been revived in advance of the village’s games on Saturday, August 3.
Dozens of entrants will race through the course on the night before the games at 6.30pm to battle for local honour.
Organiser Joanna Murdoch said: “The interest and support this year has been overwhelming and we have over 70 participants.
“It’s bigger than I had anticipated, I must admit.
“We are encouraging as many spectators and family and friends to come along as possible and local bar, The Mash Tun are very generously putting on a free BBQ after the event with a prize of dinner vouchers for the winning team.
“That’s great, although I do think the historical bragging rights will remain the priority for most of them.”
