Elgin road closed after motorbike crash

Thornhill Road in Elgin was temporarily closed following a motorbike crash early this morning.

Officers were at the scene of the incident after a man came off his bike at around 8.30am.

The man was transferred to Dr Gray’s Hospital in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

Police tape was put up and the road was sealed off while the force investigated and awaited recovery of the smashed red, blue and black Honda vehicle.

After five hours the street, which is flanked by residential houses and businesses, was reopened to traffic at around 1.25pm.
