A consultation has been launched about the possibility of removing 14 public payphones in Moray.
BT is considering taking away the booths that have reported a low number of calls.
Moray Council is now asking residents with views about the proposals to get in contact with them.
The phone boxes included in the plan are the ones in Elgin on Linkwood Road, Bruceland Road, Fraser Avenue and Covesea Road in Forres on Grant Drive and Califer Road and in Fochabers at The Square and North Murrayfield.
The other ones affected are Victoria Street in Craigellachie, Fairisle Place in Lossiemouth, Auchenhalrig in Spey Bay, Farquahar Street in Hopeman, the Post Office in Cabrach and The Square in Tomintoul.
Comments can be made by calling 01343 563578 or by e-mailing EHAdmin@moray.gov.uk by August 30. Organisations can also adopt an older-style red payphone box from BT for £1.
