Nearly 300 Army cadets from across Moray, the Highlands, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles have returned from a gruelling summer camp in Cumbria.
The five companies from the 1st Battalion the Highlanders spent two weeks at Warcop going through training drills with shooting and in the field.
However, friendly rivalry was also encouraged between the 280 cadets through football and swimming activities.
During the expedition, the Moray company won the Champion Company Trophy for the third successive year while the Inverness cadets won the Best Drill Team.
Cadet Corporal Caitlin Green, 16, from Caithness won the Best Dressed Highlander and Cadet Colour Sergeant Louise Curtis, 16, from Moray was named Best Drill Commander.
