One person has been arrested and three charged following an armed raid on Lossiemouth’s Silver Sands caravan park.
Police swooped on the site on Thursday.
It is understood the incident is connected to a separate armed raid in Councillors Walk in New Elgin earlier in the week.
Locals reported hearing officers repeatedly shout “get down” as they surrounded a holiday home while training their weapons on a target.
Yesterday police confirmed a 33-year-old man wanted on warrant was arrested and taken into custody.
Meanwhile, a further three people – two women aged 24 and 25 and a 27-year-old man – have also been charged in relation to the operation and are expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Officers remained in the area throughout yesterday and specialist staff were seen searching a holiday home as well as a nearby car.
A police spokeswoman said: “A 33-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody following an operation in the Lossiemouth area. A police presence remained in Lossiemouth yesterday and the local community are thanked for their patience.”
