A series of events has been organised to help reshape children’s services at Moray’s biggest hospital.
NHS Grampian has proposed a new model of care for youngsters at Dr Gray’s due to staffing challenges in recent years.
The health authority has proposed a service which would lead to stays of no longer than 24 hours in Moray with children referred to Aberdeen for longer spells.
However, the model is expected to lead to a more sustainable service that can be sustained seven days a week, which has had to be reduced at times in the last year due to a lack of staff.
Now a series of events has been organised as part of a consultation about the possible long-term changes.
Louise Ballantyne, NHS Grampian’s patient services manager, said: “We really value the opinions from our patients, members of the public and our staff on the changes at the hospital.
“NHS Grampian staff will be on hand will listen to any feedback and look to address any concerns anyone has about the project.
“The consultation period is already more than halfway through and is due to finish at the end of September so please make your voice heard before then.”
The first event will be held on Monday at Forres Community Centre between 3pm and 6.30pm.
Further events are also due to be held in Lossiemouth, Keith, Aberlour, Elgin and Buckie.
