Residents in Moray have been encouraged to get on their bikes as part of a national initiative.
Love to Ride’s Cycle September scheme is aiming to get colleagues pedalling to work to keep active.
The initiative is part of a month-long campaign to see which workplace can rack up the most miles.
Council leader Graham Leadbitter said: “Over the years, I have really enjoyed cycling both for leisure and commuting.
“In my first full-time job, more than 20 years ago, I regularly cycled 10 miles to work and back and felt all the better for it, as well as saving a fortune in transport costs.
“While not remotely as fit as I was then, I still enjoy getting out on my bike when I can and it’s still a very enjoyable mode of transport and a great leisure pursuit.”
