A major housebuilder is preparing to return to Moray for the first time in more than 20 years with plans for more than 100 homes.
Inverness-based Tulloch Homes is developing proposals valued at £25million for the Knockomie area in the south of Forres with construction expected to begin next year.
The blueprint for 112 homes for the site next to Grantown Road is expected to predominantly comprise of bungalows as well as some other units.
The area has been earmarked for a development comprising about 100 houses in Moray Council’s local development plan.
Tulloch’s construction director Billy McKay said: “The development will be focused on bungalows and our plan is to begin work on site in March, 2020.
“It is a highly attractive location on the south side of the town and we look forward to bringing our award-winning styles and quality to the area.
“We’re very pleased to be back in Moray after a long interval and look forward to playing our part in the social and economic growth of Forres.”
Tulloch is already building at several locations in Inverness as well as in Aberdeen and Fife. The firm also has future plans for Aviemore, Nethy Bridge and Newtonmore.
