Police are appealing for information following a serious car crash in Moray last night.
The 56-year-old driver of a Suzuki SX4 was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after crashing on the A98 outside Arradoul near Buckie.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 28-year-old female, was conveyed by Ambulance to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for treatment.
Both women have sustained serious injury.
The road remained closed for several hours as fire crews used specialist cutting gear to remove the occupants from the vehicle.
Sergeant Scott Deans of the Road Policing Department said, “Our thoughts at this time are with the families of those involved in this collision.
“We have spoken to several witnesses but would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has seen the orange Suzuki motor car around that time.
“Anyone with any information who has not yet come forward can contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 2649 of the 4th October 2019.”
