Investigation after robbery at Burger King in Elgin

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Moray.
The Burger King on Ashgrove Road in Elgin, was targeted at 11.45pm last night when two men entered the restaurant and demanded cash.
They then left with a three figure sum which was later recovered.
Both men are described as tall, stocky build and are not believed to have had local accents. Both had their faces obscured with items of clothing.
Detective Sergeant John Lumsden, of North East Division CID, said: “Fortunately, no one was injured but this was a frightening experience for the staff and inquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
“I would like to appeal to members of the public who may have been passing through the area around that time of night who saw anything, or who may have dash-cam footage from their vehicle to contact police immediately.”
