The sound of pipers will once again return to a Moray park as they take centre stage for a new one-day music festival.
Piping at Forres was the biggest event in the region before it moved to Inverness this year.
Now ESL Live has launched a new event for the town, Forres Live: Party at Grant’s, to try and fill the void left by the event.
The organisers have pledged to donate a quarter of the profits to the Maggie’s Highlands cancer charity.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers were announced as the headliner for the inaugural event on May 9 next year, alongside folk artist Luke Jackson and local group Be Like Pablo.
Organiser Gerry Verner said: “We really want to create a festival feel in the park and hope that people will come along, chill out, and enjoy listening to some great music.
“I have wanted to stage an event in Forres for a long time.
“It is a great town and Grant Park is such a fabulous venue.
“The great thing about Forres Live is that the main stage is under cover so, whatever the weather, the gig will go on.”
Tickets can be bought online at www.forres-live.co.uk with early-bird discounts running until November 14.
