A Moray singing group formed through the bond of shared experiences is preparing to hold its first Christmas concert.
The Lossiemouth Military Wives Choir has grown to nearly 30 members since it was formed four years ago to help women support each other.
Veterans, mothers, sisters, daughters and spouses have banded together to create a network of groups across the country.
Now the Lossiemouth choir is preparing a programme of festive tunes, carols and poems penned by some of the singers themselves.
Group member Lauren Hayward said: “The concert will be a festive evening for all the family with some community singing of some well-known carols, military-inspired Christmas poems written by some of our lovely ladies and of course a showcase of our Christmas music.”
The Lossiemouth concert will take place on Saturday in the town’s Baptist Church. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets are available on the door and from Re:Store in Lossiemouth.
