Emergency services were called to Portknockie following reports of a blaze at about 1am today. Crews battled flames at the Melody Brooks Holiday Home Park in the coastal village for more than an hour. The ferocity of the fire left no walls standing on the caravan and also burnt out a car parked next to it. One person was treated for smoke inhalation by emergency services. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We were called to Portknockie at 1am following reports of a caravan on fire. “Three appliances were sent and we used four breathing apparatus, two jets and one hose reel jet. The stop message was received at 2.22am.”
