A person has been airlifted to hospital after a car crash in Moray injured six people.
Two cars collided on the A98 near Buckie around 3.15pm this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene and found that six people were injured following the incident.
One of them has potentially serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to hospital.
A spokesman for the police said: “We were called to the scene around 3.15pm after a crash between two cars on the A98 at Rannachy.
We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A98 near to #Buckie. The road is closed in both directions and diversions are in place. Please avoid the area meantime.#ABZTravel
“There appears to be minor injuries to five people with a sixth with potentially serious injuries that we believe is being taken by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.
“Emergency services are still at the scene with a diversion in place.
