A committed Moray fundraiser has been awarded a British Empire Medal to recognise his voluntary service.
James Duncan, from Forres, has organised a Texas Scramble golf tournament in his hometown since 2003.
Since its formation, the annual competition has raised more than £50,000 to support causes including The Oaks palliative care centre in Elgin, Macmillan Cancer Support, Riding for the Disabled Association and the Forres Christmas lights.
The 74-year-old retired builder also serves as chairman of the group that organises the festive decorations and has previously headed up Forres Heritage Trust.
In 2011, he organised a team of volunteers to renovate more than 70 gravestones, some more than 200 years old, after they were vandalised in the Cluny Hill cemetery.
