Hopeman Amateur Dramatics Society (Hads) will be performing an under the sea extravaganza as they return to the stage for their first pantomime of the year.
The Moray-based theatre group invites locals to attend their rendition of The Little Mermaid to help banish the January blues with a lively performance filled with colourful costumes and uplifting singalong songs.
The group is comprised of enthusiast performers aged from primary three all the way to Pete Thoms, a retired teacher who is playing King Triton for his 24th pantomime.
Hads have been practising since September and held a dress rehearsal on Sunday afternoon in preparation for the shows this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Hopeman Memorial Hall.
Director of the production, Nikki Burnel said: “I am very privileged to have such a great team at Hads producing shows that are so much fun, that bring together the community and foster confidence in young people.”
She added her appreciation of the Hopeman Community Association for their financial support and the technical team behind the show.
“It is important to remember and give credit to all those who work so hard backstage there are too many to name individually but I could not do it without them.”
