A Moray brewing company is inviting local beer enthusiasts to judge the best brew and crown the winner of their competition.
The public tasting event will take place at Moray’s Windswept Brewing Company’s Tap Room in Lossiemouth on Thursday February 6.
The team at the brewing company are competing against each other to produce a tasty brew as part of the Field to Firkin project to determine a short and sustainable supply chain between grain farmers, malting houses and microbreweries based in Moray.
Once the votes are cast, the winning brew will be launched in May 2020.
The Field to Firkin project is supported by Moray LEADER with the aim of finding the most efficient supply chain process for small scale craft brewing and continue the growth of Moray’s brewing industry.
Nigel Tiddy from Windswept Brewing Co. said: “There’s nothing like a bit of competition to get the brewing juices flowing.
“We’re looking forward to involving local people in the process too as we feel the community really support us as a small business.”
