A Moray childcare provider is being celebrated in the Scottish Parliament after winning a national award.
Keith Play Centre claimed ELC Academy’s environment prize for its commitment to encouraging youngsters to engage in the natural environment.
Fruit and vegetables grown by the children are harvested before being sold to the local community to raise funds to buy seeds for the following year’s planting.
Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston has submitted a motion to the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the staff and youngsters.
He said: “It’s really important that our young people have real-life experiences of the natural world and learning to grow fruit and vegetables is a great way to start that journey.
“There are considerable health and welfare benefits to be gained from time spent outdoors and the activities here seem well designed to encourage that.
“My very warm congratulations to the staff and parents for encouraging this activity.”
