About 700 events have been included in the programme for the annual Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
Tickets for the six-day extravaganza due to be held in the spring are now on sale, with enthusiasts from across the world expected to get into the spirit.
Highlights for the 21st running of the event, which begins in April, include access to distilleries not normally open to the public and the chance to take park in an archaeological dig at an illicit still in the Cabrach.
For the first time a running event on a trail through the heart of whisky country will also be held with the finish line set for the Macallan Distillery.
Angela McOwan, events coordinator for the festival, said: “Our diverse programme is jam packed and will be our biggest yet, with more events to be announced in the coming weeks.
“There really is something for everyone, whether visitors want to get to know Speyside as an outdoor adventure destination as well as enjoy our whisky, taste its delicious larder, learn about industry innovations from our whisky masters or explore distilleries that will open their doors especially for the festival.”
The festival will run at venues across Speyside from April 29 to May 4. For tickets visit www.spiritofspeyside.com
