Kinloss Abbey Trust is making good progress with its restoration work on the Abbot’s House.
Moray MSP Richard Lochhead visited the site yesterday, saying he is committed to supporting the work of the trust to restore the Abbot’s House to a place where people will be able to seek peaceful reflection.
Mr Lochhead said: “The Kinloss Abbey Trust have already done a marvellous job raising cash to carry out some repairs to the Bishop’s House and I have pledged my support to help the trustees secure support for future phases.
“After all, the Bishop’s House and Kinloss Abbey have played such a major role in Moray and Scotland’s history.
“Sometimes, we take for granted the amazing buildings and places on our own doorstep that have been a feature of local life for centuries.”
