Two Fochabers school pupils who have been appointed as sport ambassadors have been organising competitions for other pupils.
Hugh Allan and Briony Stewart, who both attend Milne’s High School, have been given the roles to promote physical activity.
The duo initially did a survey of pupils to work out what classmates were interested in before running boccia sessions for the ASN department.
Briony then linked up with the local Quasar hocky club with Hugh running basketball and soft archery classes for primary school pupils.
Most recently the students have been running primary school football coaching sessions while also targeting a hockey coaching course.
Active Schools coordinator Lorna Young, who nominated the pupils to be ambassadors, said: “The amount of time and effort these two pupils have committed to helping their community has been inspiring.
“They are two very reliable and enthusiastic young people who want the local schools to have as many opportunities to take part in sport as possible.”
