Police divers and members of the coastguard have carried out searches in the Lossiemouth area for a missing Moray man.
Clive Hewes was last seen at midday on March 2 and was reported missing on Sunday.
He has not been seen or in contact with anyone since this time and concern is growing for his welfare, police said.
Officers appealed to the public to help them find the missing 46-year-old and today searched the Lossiemouth area following a possible sighting.
Sergeant Amanda Eveleigh, of the Elgin Community Policing Team, said: “We are following up inquiries of a possible sighting of Clive within the Shore Street area of Lossiemouth around 2:25pm on Monday, March 2. I would urge anyone who thinks they saw Clive around this time to contact us immediately.
“Members of the local community are assisting with our searches and have been briefed by our search adviser, constable Jim Montague. I would like to thank the assistance we have received from the public and for their understanding whilst extensive police inquiries and searches of the area are continued.”
Mr Hewes, who is known locally as ‘Maz’ or ‘Mazzy’, is described as being 5ft 10in tall, slim to medium build, has brown shaved hair, grey eyes and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing dark coloured jeans, a black and grey jacket and white trainers.
Sergeant Neil Morrison, of the Lossiemouth Community Policing Team, said: “As the passage of time increases we are becoming very concerned for his welfare and it is imperative that we trace his current whereabouts as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
