An arts group has established a “positivity postal service” to help spread joy during the lockdown.
Moray Arts Development Engagement (M:ade) was established with the aim of forming new creative outlets.
Now the group has opened a way to share anecdotes, stories, drawings, words of comfort, postcards and positive vibes while people are isolated in their homes.
The M:ade Mail initiative hopes to raise smiles during the period locals are confined in their homes by sending contributions back to those who write in themselves.
Stacey Toner, who formed the group, said: “Covid-19 has rapidly changed the way we live in a very short period of time.
“For many there is now no workplace, no schools and no visitors – but we still need communication, we still need interaction and we still need connection.
“With a little bit of time and thought it will likely be the reason someone smiles amidst these unsettling times.”
Contributors should post submissions to M:ade Mail, 28 King Street, New Elgin, Elgin, IV30 6BX with their name, date of birth and address.
Those handling the entries will committed to using gloves when opening and resending mail due to the current circumstances.
The project is open to anyone living in Moray.
