A Moray musician has decided to donate all profits from his new song to the NHS to help its legions of hard-working staff – including his own mother – tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
Fionn McKerron, 22, will give away all proceeds from online streams and downloads of his song “Stuck in the City” to help the national health service’s doctors, nurses and more in the battle against Covid-19.
Mr McKerron, from Hopeman, said he had been waiting a few months to release his new track, but decided making it available now could be his way of supporting the NHS in its time of need.
The bartender said: “The song had been written and recorded for quite some while, and I had been sitting on it waiting for the right time to release it, but months had gone past and I thought nows the time to help support a good cause.
“It’s already out on Spotify and iTunes, so if people just search for my name they should be able to find it.
“Anything I can do to help the staff at the NHS would be amazing.
“My mother has worked for the NHS for over 36 years, so seeing how hard she and the rest of the NHS is working really made me want to try and help.”
