A Buckie councillor is encouraging the public to take up reading as a way to relax amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tim Eagle wants communities to make the most of the resources that are available through the Moray Library service.
He said reading is a great way to relax during the current lockdown.
Mr Eagle said: “Books can be a great way to relax and take your mind off things and with concerns ongoing about mental health during this time of isolation I really encourage people to sign up and make use of this great service.
“While our physical libraries may currently be shut there is still away to access books through the libraries relationship with RB Digital.
“RB Digital provides a wide range of both audiobooks and ebooks which Moray Council users can access for free.
“Up to 10 items can be downloaded onto a range of common devices.
“Even for kids there is plenty of choice, with all of the Harry Potters among other top titles available as audio books, so children can listen in.”
People can sign up by visiting the Moray Councils libraries audiobook and ebook service page.
