A Moray brewery is planning a post-lockdown party to thank the generous backers who have helped the small business to survive.
Windswept Brewing anticipated huge losses when the nation went into lockdown in March, but fans of the craft beer firm have chipped in £5,400 to help it survive.
Bosses are now hoping to express their gratitude in September.
Marketing manager of the Lossiemouth firm, Heather Christie, said its future looks “healthier” thanks to the loyal customers.
Mrs Christie said: “We had never done any crowd-funding before and I wanted to do something that our loyal followers could support.
“So we thought it would be nice if people were prepared to crowd-fund for us and we would reward them with a party at the end of it.
“When we first launched the campaign we were a bit unsure.
“However now the picture is looking healthier, as trade is starting to open up a bit.
“Hopefully we can start the new beginning with a big thank you party to people who supported us – as there was no guarantee of our survival.
“We have a band booked and some food vendors interested. ”
She says that online trade has been “massively important” and it is hoped that new customers will return to purchase the company’s beer.
