Booking slots have opened ahead of the reopening of recycling centres in Moray next week.
Sites in Elgin, Forres, Buckie and Keith will be in operation from Monday with strict social distancing in force.
A booking system with 2,500 weekly slots has been introduced in order to manage the expected traffic eager to use the centres after a two-month coronavirus closure.
Only cars will be allowed access with soil, glass, metal, bulky waste, wood and rubble not able to be dropped off at this time.
Moray Council’s waste manager Mike Neary said: “While we’re not in a position yet to return to business as usual, we’ve reviewed our procedures so that we can safely operate our recycling centres for residents to dispose responsibly of waste which they’ve stored.
“To enable us to run this service as safely and smoothly as possible, residents should remember to bring their booking reference number, and visit using the vehicle stated in their booking form. We won’t allow admission otherwise.”
Places can be booked online at www.moray.gov.uk/wastebooking or by calling 01343 563456.
