A man was taken to hospital after reportedly “falling” from a car on a Moray road.
Emergency services were called to the A941 Elgin to Rothes road following the incident near the BenRiach Distillery.
The route was closed for more than three hours on Saturday afternoon following the incident that occurred shortly after 4.30pm.
Police confirmed the man was not seriously injured after coming out of from the Vauxhall Astra. It is understood that the vehicle stopped quickly following the incident with people providing aid before medics and other emergency crews arrived at the scene.
It is not known what caused the man to fall from the car.
A police spokeswoman said: “At about 4.35pm on Saturday, officers were called to the A941 near Elgin after a man reportedly fell from a moving vehicle.
“He was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital and was not seriously injured. The road was reopened at about 7.40pm.”
The road closure forced traffic to be diverted between Elgin and Fogwatt with signs put up to direct motorists around the incident. Northbound traffic was diverted to the Fogwatt to Lhanbryde road while signs were put up in New Elgin to encourage southbound traffic to use Birnie Road.
