An artist has created drawings of old maps of a Moray town centre to chart the way it has changed shape and size over centuries.
Caroline Inckle explored the relationship of natural and rural aspects of the heart of Forres alongside the buildings that have been built there.
The Findhorn Bay Arts-funded residency is part of a project run by the organisation to spark conversations and help reinvigorate the town centre.
During the final stages of her placement Mrs Inckle, who lives in the town, used maps drawn between 1250 and 1750, noticing the high street growing and shrinking over the years.
She said: “As my work progressed, I noticed the drawings I was producing taking on elements of anatomy and organic forms.
“The shapes of streets become like arteries and the shapes of buildings a form of skeleton.”
Mrs Inckle’s findings also include the extra challenges of negotiating the High Street while allowing for physical distancing with other walkers.
