Moray parents asked to apply for school transport as council ensures arrangements are safe

Moray Council.
Moray Council.

Moray parents and cares have been asked to ensure they submit any new applications for school transport by the end of this month.

This is to ensure that all travel arrangements can be made in line with covid-19 restrictions.

Any applications received after this date may not be accommodated on school transport.

Those who have already applied don’t need to reapply.

All new applications can be made by visiting the school transport page of the Moray Council website.

A Moray Council spokesman said: “We’re currently reviewing our school transport procedures to ensure compliance with covid-19 restrictions and to keep our children and young people safe when they return to school in August.

“It’s important parents and carers have any new applications for school transport with us by 30 June to ensure we take all requests into consideration.”

Travel passes for new P1s and S1s will be posted out during the summer holidays.

Parents and carers of anyone who have not received a transport pass by August 5 should email ptuteam@moray.gov.uk with the name of the pupil, their address and school.

All pupils from P2 to P7 and S2 to S6 will not receive new passes in August as their previously issued transport passes are still valid.
