Referees swapped their whistles for running shoes to raise £2,750 for two local charities by completing a 24-hour challenge.
Members of the Moray and Banff Referees’ Association followed in the footsteps of football clubs such as Keith, Cove Rangers and Banks O’Dee.
The match officials ran 251 miles between 6pm on Friday and 6pm on Saturday, with each referee allocated a one-hour time slot to run.
The association’s youth ambassador, Lee Robertson, hailed the “amazing” people who took part in the challenge and helped exceed the original £1,000 fundraising target.
Mr Robertson said: “We have smashed our £1,000 target and have passed £2,000 as well.
“An amazing group of referees and partners took part in the challenge, the donations have been fantastic and I would like to thank every single person who has contributed to our challenge.
“Each charity will be getting a minimum of £1,000 now and I know this will come in very handy for them in the current climate.”
The Oaks Day Hospital in Elgin and Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation will benefit from the fundraiser.
