A Moray schoolboy has cycled 215 miles during June to raise more than £7,000 for a breast cancer charity.
Lewis Mackay, from Keith, took on the challenge last month to help his auntie Trisha Davidson’s fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Care.
The six-year-old has enjoyed clocking up the miles for the fundraiser alongside his dad Kyle.
Mrs Davidson was set to host her eleventh annual strawberry tea which has raised more than £27,000 over the years, but the event had to be reduced to limited deliveries due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She said that she was “proud” of Lewis’ efforts in the challenge.
A total fundraising target is yet to be confirmed.
On Sunday the youngster received support from the north east police division as he finished the cycle challenge.
Mr Mackay said: “We are so delighted for him and at the start of June – we thought 100 miles was going to be a fair target but to get 215 miles is unbelievable.
“It was him that was always going out and he absolutely smashed the whole challenge.
“Thanks to everyone for the support and the police officers who did a brilliant job which made the day even more special for him with the roads being closed.
“It was a nice touch from the north east division which is very much appreciated by us.”
