A woman was found “safe and well” after a massive search and rescue operation took place along the banks of the River Spey.
The Buckie, Portsoy and Burghead Coastguard rescue teams, fire brigade, police and ambulance crews were involved in the search for the woman near Aberlour at 8pm on Sunday.
A Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Inverness also assisted by scouring the area from above.
It is understood that a member of the public expressed concerns about the woman’s safety, which prompted the operation.
Following searches, the woman was found in the water by the fire and rescue service.
A police spokeswoman confirmed she was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for assessment.
A Coastguard spokesman added: “Coastguard teams and the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter were tasked to assist with a person in the water near to Aberlour.
“The Coastguard teams provided casualty care and, with assistance from the search and rescue helicopter, transported the casualty to an ambulance.”
