A woman has been found dead in a house in Forres.
Police were called to the property in Logie Terrace early on Saturday after the 27-year-old’s body was discovered.
An investigation was launched, with officers sealing off the area with tape to allow forensic officers in and out of the property.
Neighbours described the “shock”of finding police outside when they woke up.
The force has confirmed they are not treating the woman’s death as suspicious.
A police spokeswoman said: “We can now confirm the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
Officers have remained on guard outside the house, near the junction with Market Street, for much of the weekend.
