A Moray woman behind a project inviting people from across the region to showcase their art created during lockdown has hailed it as a success.

Stephanie Walby from Rothes created The Moray Lockdown Art in order to help artists, young and old, and provide a snapshot of historic times.
Miss Walby has been delighted with the variety of entries from people using the platform to “show off” their work during lockdown to a wider audience.

“The project has went really well and we have had a lot of entries for the website, ” she said.

“There has been a wide range of ages making art which is great to see.

“From people who have picked up a brush for the first time to folk who do art on a regular basis.

“I have really enjoyed seeing the variety of art that people have sent me.”

Miss Walby, who has been trying out different types of art during the lockdown, hopes people continue to get their creative juices flowing.

She added: “I have done quite a bit of art during lockdown.
“I did a present for my dad for father’s day of his dog which was good.
“I have done bits and pieces like sketching.
“It is great to have the time to do art.

“I’m always open for more art to be submitted and put on the website.

“It is brilliant to see many people taking up art .”
