Moray road remains shut for police inquiries and repairs

A Moray road will remain closed for another day following a fireball crash which claimed the life of a man yesterday.

Police confirmed today that the B9016 Keith to Buckie road will not re-open until tomorrow following the collision between a silver Mini Cooper and a lorry.

The closure will allow for road repairs and for investigators to carry out further inquiries into the accident.

The accident happened yesterday afternoon, 200 yards north of the turnoff to Mulben.

The Mini in which the man was travelling was said to be “well ablaze” by the time emergency services arrived.
